The "AIRaider" series of water aeration systems, Distributed and Installed by Advanced Radon Mitigation, Inc. can eliminate 99% or more of the water's radon content. The AIRaider is the only DIFFUSED BUBBLE aeration system available that is specifically designed for "point of entry" removal of radon and other VOLATILE ORGANIC COMPOUNDS (VOC's) from residential well water. It is manufactured and distributed by RadonAway Inc., the nations' largest radon systems supplier, located in Ward Hill, Ma.
The "aeration method" for reducing waterborne radon is preferred over the GAC (granular activated carbon) filtration method because it does not pose the threat of hazardous, radioactive waste buildup within the system. Aeration separates the "Hydrophobic" radon gas from well water, then then vents it safely above the roof edge. The AIRaider systems can be used for any level of radon in the water.
To avoid a conflict of interest, ALL of our installations are "independently tested" by a "State Accredited Lab".
We have installed HUNDREDS of these systems in circumstances where the waterborne radon level measured well into the Hundreds of Thousands of pCi/L's and they have effectively reduced the radon content to below the targeted MCL, as guaranteed "in writing".
The AIRaider models we typically install for residential use are:
*Model #433-S, which will remove more than 99% of waterborne radon as well as a majority of other VOC's from well water.
*Model EZ95, which will remove 95% or more of waterborne radon.
Model EZ95 is used when achieving target radon levels does not require the maximum reduction capabilities of the "AIRaider" 433-S model.
The AIRaider 433s and EZ95 have a "2 YEAR MANUFACTURER'S PARTS WARRANTY".
The AIRaider 433-S' process consists of an aeration tank into which contaminated water enters and is channeled through a series of specially designed aeration chambers. Using the AIRaiders' patented "Cascade Rinse" process, contaminated water passes through these chambers where filtered air is introduced through high pressure diffusers, creating an explosive agitation. The radon and other VOC gases are then vented safely to the outdoors, above the roof edge, via a small, non-intrusive "2-inch" PVC vent pipe. The treated water is then re-pressurized for use, using a quiet,SUBMERSIBLE pump and small storage tank.
The system is powered by its own dedicated circuit breaker and plugged into a GFCI receptacle.
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT THE INCOMING WATER TO THE AIRaider BE BELOW EPA PARAMETERS FOR IRON, MANGANESE AND BACTERIA.
Advanced Radon Mitigation should be notified prior to the purchase and installation of any pretreatment equipment in order to help insure its compatibility with the AIRaiders' water volume requirements.
Annual maintenance of the AIRaider, (which includes an independent Radon in Water test) is highly recommended and will ensure you and your family many years of continued, optimum system performance and can be scheduled by contacting Advanced Radon Mitigation, Inc.
