We Can Help You Manually Backwash Your Carbon Adsorption Tank.






STEP #1:
Close ball valves #2 (input) and #3 (output)

STEP #2:
Remove the threaded cap located on the fitting located on the side
of the head of the carbon filter.
Connect a garden hose to this fitting and run the hose to the outside.

STEP #3:
Facing the head, slide the lever from the "Service" position to the
"Backwash" position.
Make sure that the lever is in the small slot.

STEP #4:
Open ball valve #2 slowly.(This will raise the carbon bed a few inches.)
Let it run for about 10-15 minutes.

STEP #5:
Close ball valve #2.
Then, slide lever from the "Backwash" position to the "Rinse" position.
Open ball valve #2 again, slowly. Let it run for about 5-10 minutes.

STEP #6:
Close ball valve #2, slide lever to the "Service" position.

STEP #7:
Disconnect garden hose and replace the cap on the fitting.

STEP #8:
Open ball valve # 2. If nothing is leaking, then open ball valve #3.


CONGRATULATIONS!
BACKWASHING IS COMPLETE.
